Eligibility

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 01 April 2026.

Candidate must have been born between 02 April 1998 and 01 April 2006, both dates inclusive.

Minimum Age: 20 years
Maximum Age: 28 years

Local Language Requirement

Candidate can apply for vacancies in only one State/UT.

The candidate must be able to read, write, speak and understand the specified local language of the selected State/UT.

SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PwBD General/EWS: 10 years
PwBD OBC: 13 years
PwBD SC/ST: 15 years
Eligible Ex-Servicemen: As prescribed in the official notification
Eligible Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated from husband and not remarried: As prescribed in the official notification
Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10
Class 12 and can provide the required marksheet/certificate are exempt from the Local Language Proficiency Test.
Candidates who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10
Class 12 must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test after the Main Examination and before joining.

Final Selection

Preliminary Examination marks are not added to the final merit. Candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination based on the Preliminary Examination. Final merit is prepared State-wise and Category-wise primarily on the basis of Main Examination marks, subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions and qualification of the applicable Local Language Proficiency Test.
