उम्मीदवार के पास State Board of Technical Education से Mechanical Engineering में तीन वर्षीय Diploma होना चाहिए।
Diploma में न्यूनतम 60 प्रतिशत अंक होना अनिवार्य है।
Qualification AICTE, appropriate statutory authority, State Government या Central Government से मान्यता प्राप्त होनी चाहिए।
निर्धारित Diploma qualification के स्थान पर केवल higher qualification स्वीकार नहीं होगी। Mechanical Engineering में prescribed three-year Diploma न होने पर केवल B.Tech, M.Sc., BCA या अन्य higher qualification रखने वाले उम्मीदवार पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
Equivalent qualification रखने वाले उम्मीदवार को competent authority द्वारा जारी Equivalency Certificate प्रस्तुत करना होगा।
उम्मीदवार के पास qualification प्राप्त करने के बाद कम से कम 2 वर्ष का experience या training होना चाहिए।
Experience निम्न में से किसी establishment में Ship Draftsman या Draftsman के रूप में होना चाहिए:
- Shipyard
- Engineering Company
- Ship Design Company या Establishment
- Government Company या Establishment
- Semi-Government Company या Establishment
- Tribon जैसे 3D Modelling Software का experience
- CADMATIC Software का experience
- CAD Software में Design Experience
Apprentices Act के अंतर्गत संबंधित discipline में पूरी की गई Apprenticeship Training को experience माना जाएगा।
Remuneration के साथ की गई relevant training को भी experience माना जा सकता है।
